About Qiyu
Hi, I’m a university student currently studying in the UK. I’m a native Chinese speaker and fluent in English, and I enjoy communicating with people from different backgrounds.
I have always been interested in language, communication and understanding people. I’m patient, open-minded and easy to talk to, and I enjoy creating a relaxed and comfortable environment where you can feel confident expressing yourself.
I started teaching because I genuinely enjoy helping others improve and feel more confident when using a new language. For me, it’s not just about learning words, but about connecting, expressing thoughts and building confidence.

My lessons are relaxed, conversation-based and focused on helping you feel confident when speaking. I believe language learning should feel natural, not stressful.
In our sessions, we will mainly practise real-life conversations, and I will gently correct your sentences and help you express yourself more clearly and naturally. I adapt each lesson based on your level and your goals.
My lessons are suitable for beginners and intermediate learners who want to improve fluency, confidence and everyday communication.
Each lesson usually lasts 45–60 minutes. I am a patient and supportive tutor, and I always try to create a comfortable and encouraging environment for you to speak freely.
