About Chenkai
I am a native Mandarin speaker from China and a Chemistry PhD student at the University of Sydney. With a strong academic background and an analytical mindset, I value clarity, structure, and effective communication. My teaching approach is structured, logical, and results-focused. As a Chemistry PhD student, I believe language learning should be systematic and goal-oriented. I first assess each student’s level and objectives, then design a personalised study plan with clear milestones.
My lessons integrate pronunciation training (Pinyin accuracy and tones), vocabulary building, grammar explanation, and practical conversation exercises. For school students, I align lessons with curriculum requirements. For adults, I focus on real-life communication and confidence building.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I also offer 90-minute sessions for intensive learning. I teach beginners, intermediate learners, school students, and adults who want to improve conversational Mandarin.
