About Matthew
I completed an MA degree in history at Oxford Brookes University in 2015. Since then I have worked as a history tutor for Oxford Science Studies giving history lessons and past-paper revision classes. I have taught lessons both on a one of one basis or in small groups. My area of expertise is the Cold War and tension between the United States and Soviet Union, but I can also cover the Russian revolution, China and Germany between the two World Wars. I cover levels from GCSE, A-Level and degree.

I believe that classes should be student led with tutoring. I like to find out which areas of the subject the student needs clarifying, in case they were not explained properly at school or if the student feels less confident in that particular area, before moving onto essay and exam practice.
