About Edward
I am a highly experienced, friendly, and patient teacher who will meet you where you are and help you achieve your personal goals at your own pace.
As for my background, before moving to St. John's, Newfoundland, two years ago, I ran the Southworth Planetarium at the University of Southern Maine for 25 years.
I have often been invited to speak on radio programs to discuss astronomical events, and my writing has been published frequently in some of the world's biggest astronomy magazines.
I will provide personal tutoring references upon request.

I ran a planetarium for more than two decades and have published numerous articles in some of the world's leading astronomy magazines. I have been tutoring students of all ages and skill levels in math, astronomy, astrophysics, and English for 15 years.
I love mathematics and science even though I was once terrified of them both. At some point I realized that they are both elegantly beautiful merely by virtue of their logical structures. The main problem people experience with math and science is the deep anxiety they both engender, and I have found that the most effective remedy is a casual, comfortable environment in which concepts can be covered and discussed at whatever pace the student prefers.
I live in St. John's, NL and can tutor both in person and on-line.
