About Glenyz

Hello, my name is Glenyz a dynamic educator with a passion for infusing creativity and excitement into the classroom. With two years of experience as an English Language Arts teacher, I have honed a unique approach to teaching that blends traditional curriculum with elements of pop culture and fandoms. Believing that education should be engaging and relevant to student's lives, I try to leverage the power of pop culture references, from beloved book series to iconic movies and TV shows, to make learning an enjoyable and memorable experience. By tapping into students' interests and passions, I love to create an immersive learning environment where literature and language come to life in unexpected and exciting ways. With a knack for connecting with students and a dedication to fostering a love of learning, I am committed to inspiring the next generation through the magic of education and the universality of pop culture

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is that teaching doesn't have to be boring.

A typical lesson with me starts with some warm-up to help get us thinking about the topic we are discussing. Then I like to have some time for direct l and then switch gears to guided work and some individual work. I like to also connect with students when it comes to teaching topics and connecting them to pop culture and fandoms I know many students including myself are into lectures.

I have worked with students from 6-12 grade in various subject such as English, History, Debate , and oral presentation preparation and skills
