About Eliza
I have played traditional Irish music for over ten years, competing in both groups and solo in fleadh cheoils across the UK and Britain. A highlight of mine is winning the All Britain Under 15 Accompaniment competition, playing harp, as well as qualifying frequently for the All Ireland Harp Slow Air and Fiddle Slow Air competitions. I have also frequently played harp for weddings, and taught both traditional Irish harp and fiddle lessons before. I am currently a student completing her Masters at King's College London.

I am an experienced musician who has played folk music, specifically traditional Irish music, all her life, and grew up taking part in competitions all across the UK and Ireland. I have played in several traditional bands, with highlights including playing on stage at Trafalgar Square for the St Patrick's Day parade. I have achieved an A in A level music and a grade 6 with merit in music theory. What subjects do you teach: I teach traditional Irish fiddle and harp, as well as piano accompaniment. I also teach pop accompaniment and songs for piano. Lesson style: For traditional Irish music lessons I would focus on teaching a selection of traditional Irish tunes, strengthening the students use of traditional techniques as well as aural and session skills. For pop music lessons I would teach a selection of popular music, allowing students to decide what songs they would like to learn. These lessons would focus on students' understanding of music theory to improve their use of harmony, rhythm and style. Lessons would be an hour long, unless students requested otherwise. I am happy to teach all levels for Irish traditional music, and would teach beginner and intermediate students for pop music lessons.
