About Amy
Having lived in the UK, Hong Kong, and Australia, I love to explore different cultures, understand different cultural perspectives, and work with students of different cultural backgrounds. I lived in Hong Kong for five years and studied Chinese at GCSE and A-Level. I introduce Chinese culture to my students through stories and interactive lesson plans. My deep understanding of Chinese allows me to help students overcome any challenges they may face when learning how to read, write or form sentences in Mandarin.

I am a passionate and enthusiastic Mandarin teacher. I have three years of Chinese teaching experience in both classroom and private settings. When planning my Chinese lessons, I take the opportunity to include cultural activities such as arts and crafts, calligraphy, research presentations, watching videos and sharing Chinese music to ensure my students can engage with Chinese culture as much as possible whilst also learning the language.

Perfect! Amy is totally amazing. I have had over 20 Chinese teachers and she is the best . She is a natural teacher . Her knowledge her explanation her encouragement top rate . You will be hard pressed to find a better teacher and if you do please text me Mike
Perfect! Amy is an amazing teacher! Learning Chinese has been a challenge for me, but her lessons have helped me learn many of the more difficult words / characters. She provides fun exercises to help with memorising vocab and her sunny personality always makes learning a new language both exciting and entertaining. I highly recommend her as a teacher!
