About Ishitta
I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in English. I have always loved the English language. I am very passionate about writing. I am currently working on publishing my own book and I’ve always wanted to teach children. I wish to spread the love for English that I have to other people, especially children. I consider myself as a person who is very easily able to connect with children and teaching is something I have always done as I’ve grown up teaching my little brother. My mom is a teacher so I’ve seen the method she uses for teaching and I have built up my own method inspired by her and I hope that my methods will be effective with one of you.

in case we’re doing a literature lesson, my first step would be to help the child read the lesson and make her/him understand the lesson clearly. After which, I will help the child critically think and analyze the characters in the chapters and we will draw out a timeline of the events of the chapter, make character sketches, etc. I will ensure the child has understood each and every sentence of the chapter. We will also work on our vocabulary, find out difficult words or things we did not know earlier, learn their meaning and spelling. Once you’re done with reading the chapter and thoroughly analyzing it, I will move on to analyze how much the child has grasped the lesson. This will be done through oral questions. Also, one important tool I rely on is flash cards. I will also be conducting online quizzes to ensure that the child hasn’t missed any part of the chapter and has a comprehensive and holistic understanding. Lastly, I would take a test of the child in written form because at the end of the day, that is how the children are tested in school.
