About Phoebe

I was born and raised in Spain and lived there for over 17 years, attending a Spanish school in Alicante throughout my childhood, where I built a strong academic and natural foundation in the Spanish language. Spanish has always been a core part of my daily life, and I continue to speak it fluently with friends and family. I also studied Valenciano at school in Alicante and was later exposed to it more while spending a lot of time in Valencia, which I absolutely love.

I have also spent time in Barcelona, where I was regularly around Catalan. Being exposed to both Catalan and Valenciano in different environments helped me understand the similarities and differences between the two, especially in vocabulary, pronunciation, and usage. This has given me a deeper appreciation of how regional language variations work within Spain.

I speak Spanish daily with friends and family, so it is a natural and constant part of my life. I really enjoy teaching and most of my experience has been working with children, as I specialise in childcare. This has helped me develop a patient, supportive, and adaptable teaching style.

I love creating fun, engaging lessons that make learning enjoyable and effective. I am very passionate about Spanish culture, language, and sharing that with others. I would describe myself as professional but fun, very joyful, and someone who genuinely cares about my students’ progress and confidence. I now live near Cambridge, England, and continue to use Spanish regularly in everyday life, along with weekly tutoring lessons with my young students.
