About GiGi

I have had lots of experience in the past working at schools and holiday camps. I have a passion for teaching and want to share my experiences and knowledge with others. I have spent 3 months over the course of the last year working as a teaching assistant at a variety of SEN schools. I have learnt to plan and adapt lessons based on the student and their requirements. I also worked voluntarily for 6 months, on a weekly basis, at a local primary school, teaching Spanish to children between the age of 9 and 12, where I was given the opportunity to plan lessons and teach the students, creating fun but effective lessons whilst also ensuring the students enjoy themselves.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is GiGi. I'm 20 years old and am currently in my first year at Durham University studying Modern Languages and Cultures, within which I specialise in post a-level Spanish & French, and beginners Italian. I am a very hard working and organised student, who aspires to help and inspire younger students in my area of focus. I am chatty, keen and dedicated to getting the most out of what I do. I will get to know the student's strengths and weaknesses and tailor the lesson around the student's ability - I would base my teaching approach on the student/parent preferences and adapt my teaching style to the suitability and requirement of the sessions.
