About Khush

I’m someone who genuinely understands what it feels like to find chemistry challenging at first. When I was at school, I often struggled to make sense of what was being taught in class — equations felt confusing, and the abstract ideas didn’t always click straight away. Over time, I developed my own ways of learning that helped everything fall into place. By breaking topics down into simple, logical steps and connecting them to real-life examples, I not only began to enjoy chemistry but also achieved top grades. That experience is exactly why I now teach. I want to help students who feel the same way I once did — those who think they “just don’t get it” — to discover that they can. My aim is to make chemistry clear, structured, and genuinely engaging, so that every student has the chance to reach their full potential and approach exams with confidence.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching chemistry centres on developing a deep conceptual understanding rather than rote memorisation. I aim to help students recognise the logical structure that underpins chemical principles — ensuring they understand why reactions occur, not just what happens. Lessons are designed to be clear, engaging, and intellectually stimulating, combining strong theoretical grounding with practical relevance. I regularly incorporate real-world examples from fields such as pharmaceuticals, materials science, and environmental chemistry to demonstrate how abstract concepts apply beyond the classroom. To build exam confidence, I integrate targeted exam practice, focusing on command words, structured responses, and data interpretation. At the same time, I encourage students to think critically and independently, developing problem-solving skills that extend beyond the GCSE syllabus. Ultimately, my goal is to foster curiosity, confidence, and a genuine appreciation for chemistry — empowering each student to achieve academic success while gaining insight into the scientific processes that shape the world around them.
