About Joan
I am very much patient, friendly but firm when it comes to teaching. I assure that when you choose me as your online tutor you will learn lots of strategies and techniques to learn Mathematics easily, same with learning how to read. I've been in the teaching profession for 21 years. And in those years I have shared my expertise and knowledge and some of my learners were able to succeed in their performances in school.

Hi! I am Joan Polangcos. I am a teacher from the Philippines but now living in Ohio, USA. I am a graduate of Bachelor in Elementary Education and have been teaching first grade for 21 years. I've been a Mathematics coach for First Graders, Second Graders, and Third Graders wherein some of my tutees and students got an award as First Place for 6 consecutive years during the Mathematics challenge in our school. Aside from that, I am also a reading teacher and was awarded as an Outstanding Reading Teacher from 2018 to 2020 and I conduct reading tutorials for first grade up to third grade learners. Teaching is my passion and I'd like to share my knowledge and expertise with the young learners in order to develop their full potential and become the best version of themselves.
