About Chris
After gaining a First in English Literature and Creative Writing from Chichester University in 2014 I spent four years teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4. I worked mainly with difficult and disengaged students excluded from mainstream education.

I teach to the strengths of my students, creating lessons and work plans that reflect the needs of each individual. I have worked closely with students with learning difficulties and behavioural problems and, as such, have developed many techniques for engagement in difficult topics such as poetry, creative thinking and analysis. I have also helped students develop basic literacy through dual coding(mixing visual and verbal communication) and phonetics.
