About India

I’m a First Class Honours Actor Musicianship graduate from the Guildford School of Acting (GSA), one of the UK’s leading conservatoires. I have an enormous passion for Musical Theatre and Drama, and I absolutely love sharing everything I’ve learnt through my professional training and experience with my students! Since graduating, I made my professional debut in Innocence at the Royal Opera House, directed by internationally acclaimed director Simon Stone. The production went on to win the Olivier Award for Best New Opera, and performing at the Royal Opera House was an incredible experience that I’m so excited to bring into my teaching! During my second year of training at GSA, I was also selected as a soloist for renowned composer and lyricist Scott Alan as part of his London residency. Being chosen to perform his work professionally while I was still training was an incredibly exciting opportunity! As an Actor Musician, I took a slightly different route into Musical Theatre, Film and TV, training across four disciplines rather than the traditional three: acting, singing, dance and music. I began playing the violin at the age of seven and gradually added many more instruments to my collection! I hold Grade 8 qualifications in Singing, Piano, Flute and Piccolo, alongside Grade 6 Violin and Grade 5 Music Theory. Throughout my training and performing career, I’ve also had the opportunity to sing at some of the world’s most incredible venues, including Cadogan Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, The O2 Arena and Crazy Coqs in London’s West End. My professional experience and multidisciplinary training have hugely shaped the way I teach. Whether we’re working on acting, singing, Musical Theatre or performance technique, I want lessons to feel exciting, encouraging, fun and creative! Above all, I’m incredibly passionate about everything I teach, and my aim is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, inspired and excited to perform!

About the lesson

My Drama lessons are completely tailored to you, your goals and the areas you’d most like to develop! Whether you’re preparing for a GCSE or A Level Drama examination, working towards an audition, developing a monologue, preparing for drama school, or simply wanting to build your acting skills and confidence, I’ll create lessons that are engaging, supportive and, most importantly, fun! As a First Class Honours Actor Musicianship graduate from the Guildford School of Acting (GSA), my teaching draws directly from the professional training I received at one of the UK’s leading drama schools. We can work on a huge range of areas, including character development, script and text analysis, monologue preparation, acting technique, improvisation, physicality, vocal skills, storytelling, audition technique and performance confidence. For students interested in pursuing performing arts further, I can also draw upon my own experience of drama school training, professional auditions and working within the industry. We can explore audition material, monologue choices and preparation, acting through song and how to approach a piece with confidence, individuality and authenticity! Above all, I want my lessons to provide a positive, creative and encouraging space where students feel completely comfortable experimenting, making bold choices and stepping outside their comfort zone! Drama should be exciting! My aim is not only to help students achieve fantastic results and performances, but to develop their confidence, creativity and love of performing, so they leave every lesson feeling proud of what they’ve achieved and excited for the next one!
