About Annie

With a First Class Degree in History from the University of Birmingham and a passion for the subject, I will be able to help students confidently write history essays for both GCSE and A-level exams. I have access to various teaching resources and understand how to structure an essay in order to achieve those top marks. With tips to minimise workload and stress, I'll be able to guide students through the syllabus focusing on quality over quantity. All my lessons are planned and I am happy to have a consultation with parents and students beforehand, in order to identify key areas to focus on. In addition to my academic background, I also have a career in TV production where I have applied my degree to creating BBC history documentaries. I have worked with Annie Smith for the last two years during which time she has been employed as a Casting Producer for a popular BBC1 daytime property show and also a History Researcher on a celebrated BBC2 travel documentary series.
As a Casting Producer she deals with families from all walk of life and all ages, building up relationships and filming lifestyle interviews with them in their homes. She also manages a team of six people so has instruct, supervise, support and lead.
