About Ronan
I’m a First-Class Chemistry graduate from the University of St Andrews and an incoming MSc Forensic Science student at the University of Strathclyde. I’ve always had a deep passion for chemistry and an enjoyment of helping others learn. My academic journey has included A grades in National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher Chemistry, and I’ve consistently been recognised for academic excellence at university, including receiving the GSK Book Prize and being named to the Dean’s List in Years 2, 3, and 4. I understand how challenging chemistry can feel at times, but with the right guidance, it becomes not only manageable - but genuinely fascinating. I’m excited to support students in building their confidence in what are key exams for their future prospects.

I teach chemistry in a supportive way that builds confidence and clear, step-by-step exam technique. I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s needs, whether that means breaking down tricky concepts, reinforcing key topics, or practising past paper questions together. I focus on clear, step-by-step problem-solving and using real-life examples to make chemistry more engaging and relevant. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and aimed at National 5 and Higher Chemistry students. While new to professional tutoring, I achieved As in National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher Chemistry, and graduated with First-Class Honours in Chemistry from the University of St Andrews. I’m now preparing to begin my MSc in Forensic Science at the University of Strathclyde. I’m passionate about helping students realise they can succeed in chemistry — with the right support, anything is possible.
