About Thobile
I am an Accountant with a Financial Accounting degree. I have volunteered to teach mathematics in under-privileged schools in Hout Bay while studying towards my degree in varsity. I have also tutored colleagues studying towards a degree with Mathesmatics as a module.
Mathematics and Statistics have always been my best subjects obtaining distinction in both matric and varsity and therefore teaching it is part of my many passions.

My lessons are based on the individual, I don't believe in a "one method fits all" approach. In my experience I have learnt that what works for one student may not necessarily work for the next.
This is why I first assess how the student approaches problems, their methods in solving the problem; give them alternatives to their problem solving techniques and assess which technique comes more naturally to them and is easier to understand for them.
I set spot tests at the beginning of every class to assess understanding based on the previous class. That way I know whether there is progress or whether a different strategy is required.
