About Simiao Liang

I’m an expert certified Mandarin teacher with more than 10 years of experience in classroom teaching and in-person/online tutoring in both U.S. and China. I'm extremely organized, responsible, and professional. I'm passionate to share my knowledge of Mandarin language and Chinese culture with my students. I like running, hiking, working out, learning Spanish, cooking, and trying food from different cultures. I also love solo traveling. I have traveled to more than 20 countries in the world. I enjoy meeting locals and other travelers and learning about different cultures.

About the lesson

I’m an expert certified Mandarin teacher with more than 10 years of experience in classroom teaching and in-person/online tutoring in both U.S. and China.

As a bilingual speaker, I understand the challenges students are facing when learning a foreign language (especially Mandarin and English). I also have a unique and effective way of teaching foreign languages so my students can improve their fluency level naturally and unconsciously in a fun way, no matter what your proficiency level is. You don’t have to memorize a long list of vocabulary or study grammar without knowing how to use them in different context in everyday life.

Mandarin is not as difficult to learn at all as most people think IF you have me as a teacher. One of my former students said, “I’ve learned more Mandarin with Ms. L in 1 year than the Spanish that I’ve learned for 7 years.”
