About Sania
I am a molecular geneticist, university lecturer, and active research scientist — and I bring all three of those identities into every lesson I teach.
My academic background: I hold an MPhil specialising in Molecular Genetics and Neurogenetics from the University of Swat, Pakistan. My research focused on identifying the genetic causes of rare neurodevelopmental disorders in consanguineous families — work that required mastering the full pipeline of modern genomic science, from laboratory bench to bioinformatic analysis to published scientific conclusions.
My research record: I have published three papers in international peer-reviewed genetics journals, with a fourth collaborative paper currently in preparation as first author with a leading research institution in Saudi Arabia. I am also in active scientific collaboration with researchers at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) — one of the world's top research universities — on a novel gene discovery programme. This is not background history. This is what I am doing right now, in 2026.
My teaching record: I served as Visiting Faculty at the University of Swat for two years, delivering lectures in molecular biology, genetics, and research methodology to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Before that I taught Biology and Chemistry at secondary level, supervising laboratory practicals, designing assessments, and preparing students for high-stakes examinations. I know what students need at every level — from a Grade 7 student who cannot remember the difference between mitosis and meiosis, to a university student who is lost in the mechanics of gene expression.
What this means for you as a student is straightforward: when I explain a biological or chemical concept, I am not working from memory of something I studied years ago. I am working from active, professional, current scientific knowledge. I can answer the difficult questions — the ones textbooks do not fully address — because I have encountered those questions in real research contexts and worked through them.
I teach because I find genuine satisfaction in the moment when a concept clicks for a student who has been struggling with it. That moment — when confusion becomes clarity — is what I design every lesson around.
I hold myself to the same standards I set for my students: precision, preparation, and a refusal to accept surface-level understanding when depth is possible.

About My Lessons
My lessons are built around one principle: understanding beats memorisation every time.
I am a molecular geneticist with an MPhil in Neurogenetics, a University Lecturer with two years of teaching experience at the University of Swat, and a published research scientist with three papers in international peer-reviewed journals. When I teach IGCSE or A-Level Biology and Chemistry, I teach from inside the subject — not from a textbook summary of it.
What happens in a typical lesson:
Every lesson begins with a rapid diagnostic. I ask two or three targeted questions to find exactly where your understanding breaks down — not where you think it breaks down, but where it actually does. Most students discover the real gap is one level deeper than they assumed. Once we find it we fix it — systematically, precisely, and permanently.
I use a combination of conceptual explanation, worked examples, past paper questions, and mark scheme analysis in every session. I do not move forward until the current concept is genuinely understood — not memorised, understood. There is a difference and examiners can tell.
What I specialise in:
IGCSE Biology — all topics, all boards — Cambridge, Edexcel, AQA
IGCSE Chemistry — all topics, all boards
A-Level Biology — molecular genetics, cell biology, physiology, ecology
University-level molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry
Exam technique — command words, mark scheme language, 6-mark answer structure
Who my lessons work best for:
Students stuck between Grade 5 and Grade 7 who need their conceptual understanding rebuilt rather than more revision. A-Level students targeting A or A* who need genuine scientific depth. University students struggling with genetics or molecular biology who need a tutor who has actually worked in a research laboratory. International students from the Gulf, Middle East, and South Asia preparing for Cambridge or Edexcel examinations in English.
My commitment to you:
I prepare for every lesson. I give specific, actionable written feedback after every session. I respond to messages within 2 hours. I track your progress systematically and adjust the plan when something is not working. I expect effort and engagement from my students — and I deliver the same in return.
Languages: All lessons delivered in English. Urdu and Pashto available for students who need occasional clarification in their first language.
Book a trial lesson. Bring your hardest topic. We fix it in the first session.
