About Sharon

Hi! I’m Sharon, a passionate and dedicated 15 y/old tutor in the 10th grade, with a love for language and helping young minds grow. I’m a Principal’s Honor Roll student, actively involved in several school clubs, and I collaborate on both local and international projects with peers. I even founded a Journalism Club at my school to help others find their voice through writing. I specialize in English, creative writing, reading, and speed reading for students in Grade 10 and below. With a patient and encouraging approach, I strive to make each session engaging, confidence-building, and tailored to the student’s unique needs. I'm offering personalized tutoring tailored to your goals—whether you're aiming to boost your grades, enhance your writing, or become a faster, more confident reader. All ages and levels welcome! Let's make learning enjoyable and effective. As a tutor, my approach is centered around patience, creativity, and adaptability. I tailor each lesson to fit the student's individual learning style, strengths, and goals. I use interactive techniques such as guided reading, writing prompts, vocabulary games, and real-world examples to make lessons both engaging and effective. For speed reading, I focus on comprehension strategies, eye movement exercises, and timed practice to help students read faster and smarter. A typical lesson includes a quick warm-up to activate prior knowledge, a focused learning activity based on the day's objective, and a short review or reflection to reinforce understanding. For creative writing, we might analyze a short piece of literature, brainstorm ideas, and write a draft with live feedback. For reading, we’ll build comprehension skills through annotation and discussion. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students, build their confidence, and make learning enjoyable. I encourage curiosity and critical thinking, helping students not just learn—but love—language and literature. These lessons are designed for students in Grade 10 and below, whether they need help catching up, want to get ahead, or simply wish to become stronger readers and writers.
