About Tanya
I recently returned to Canada after 20 years of living and working abroad, including in Australia, the UK and Germany. I began my career in the travel industry, which took me around the world and taught me the value of clear communication across different cultures.
I studied Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, focusing on manuscript editing, creative nonfiction, essay writing and publishing for both print and digital media.
I went on to build an international career in marketing, advertising and digital communications, working with brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Ritter Sport and Lufthansa. Over the years, I’ve written and produced content for websites, blogs, email campaigns, publications, podcasts, YouTube and various social media platforms.
Today, I run my own international consulting business, working with people from around the world entirely online. Writing, communication and working with people one-to-one remain central to what I do.
I’ve always loved language, particularly creative writing, storytelling, building a good argument and the art of conversation.
I believe that being able to express yourself clearly, both in writing and in conversation, is one of the most useful skills you can develop. And having lived and worked across so many cultures, I know there’s no single right way to communicate.

My lessons are practical, interactive, and tailored to your goals.
You bring your questions, assignments, writing or ideas, and we work through them together. We might review an essay, strengthen an argument, practice a presentation or work on making your spoken English more natural and confident.
I believe good communication is as much about learning to organize your thoughts, express your ideas, and make yourself understood as it is about grammar or using impressive vocabulary.
My background is in professional writing, editing and international communications, and I’ve spent much of my career working with people from different countries and cultures. I understand that everyone communicates differently, and I don’t believe in removing someone’s individuality to make their English sound more polished.
I welcome high school and university students, international students, professionals and adults who want to strengthen their written and spoken English.
I’ll offer constructive feedback, practical guidance and exercises where useful, but the lessons are collaborative. My aim is to help you become a more capable, confident and independent communicator.
