About Cerys
My undergraduate degree is German and Russian and I have a PGCE and QTS. I have tutored individual students and small groups since 2014 and taught classes up to 35. I taught abroad where I had free reign to develop my curriculum around students needs and interests.

Teaching English my approach has varied but usually starts with informal assessment of level and any possible misunderstands. As a native speaker I try connect with the learner and their needs and interests. For example some past clients wanted to engage in discussion with English colleagues who visited at work and other students wanted to use English in performance and develop their expression. Some younger learners simply needed help learning the basics and I engaged them through games and day-to-day scenarios
