About John

I am a qualified teacher with plenty of years of experience in private tutoring. I hold a Master's degree in Secondary Teaching from Deakin University and have worked extensively with VCE English students across Melbourne's southeast.

What drives my passion for teaching is seeing students discover their confidence and potential. I believe every student can excel in English when they receive the right support, strategies, and encouragement. My teaching philosophy centers on building strong analytical skills, fostering critical thinking, and developing each student's unique voice as a writer.

Over the years, I've helped countless students improve their grades, overcome essay-writing anxiety, and develop a genuine appreciation for literature. With years of secondary English teaching experience in Melbourne, I understand the VCE curriculum inside out. Sessions typically run 60-90 minutes and include targeted skill development, practice with past exam questions, and actionable feedback on written work.

I work with students at all levels—from those seeking to improve their foundational skills to high achievers aiming for A+ results. My approach is supportive, strategic, and results-focused, helping students develop both the technical skills and critical thinking required for VCE English success.
