About Sofia
Hello! I specialize in teaching beginner to high intermediate students. My teaching style focuses on establishing a productive practice regimen, finding interesting and suitable repertoire, and helping students find their inner musical voice. As a music student at Cornell University, I am able to communicate earnestly with younger students, as well as convey ideas to adult students. While I am chiefly classically trained, I also love to explore other genres, such as klezmer music, and I love making electronic music and composing my own classical pieces. I love to teach music because the feeling of spreading musical joy to others is simply incomparable.
