About Ian
As a senior in high school who has scored in the top 1% on the SAT, I bring a unique aspect to studying for the SAT due to my recent involvement. I have been working with this test for the past four years; during that time I learned how to prepare for the SAT both mentally and physically. This, in combination with testing strategies and tips that I have developed, enables me to work alongside others to help them achieve their personal SAT goal. I want to work with you and help you not only achieve, but surpass your goal on the SAT.
I enjoy working alongside others on the SAT and seeing their scores improve as they achieve their goals. I know the challenges that come with the SAT, as it is the most difficult and important test in high school. Having the ability to share my knowledge of the SAT with others is a rewarding experience for me as I see students achieve mastery of this test. This test can also be worth a considerable amount of money, as your score is used for college scholarships. My SAT score of a 1490 has helped me earn a Full-Tuition merit scholarship amounting to over $150,000. I want to see others achieve the same success that I have, because it is truly life-chanigng.

I like being flexible when working with new students so that we can focus in areas of the SAT that they would most like to prepare for. Getting to understand a new student and their strengths and weaknesses when it comes to the SAT is vital in understanding what areas of the test we should focus on. However, if a student does not have a preference on what to study for within this test, I have detailed sections of the test to work on and study. Throughout a session I attempt to cover the following:
- Learning new/relevant information about the SAT so that you are preparing yourself for the test as a whole.
- Learn concept-specific testing tip/strategy to implement in study.
- Complete a practice SAT concept/section in a manner that fits testing constraints (further preparing you for the test).
- Evaluate and explain answers and process for answers from practice to develop further understanding and mastry in concepts.
I have worked with fellow students in my school-system in preparing them for the SAT. I have worked with students with a variety of skillsets, those who want to focus on reading, writing, or math.
The one piece of advice I would give is to look for someone who will focus on your specific goals and will help you work to not only achieve, but surpass where you want to be.
