About Renea
I like to create materials designed for specific students.
I enjoy watching students speak and understand something in the language that they weren't able to before. It shows that they are learning and growing in their knowledge of the language.
I began tutoring English to Spanish speakers while I was in college and decided to make a career out of teaching.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Hispanic Studies and am also endorsed to teach English as a Second Language.

I like to talk with them to see what their goals are and what they are having trouble with. From there I create activities for us to work through to meet those goals and overcome the challenges they are facing in their studies.
I have worked with adult English language learners, elementary, middle, and high school students.
I would advise them to be prepared to tell the teacher what grammar/vocabulary they are struggling with and how they learn best.
Also, any notes that the student has that they've taken in class can be useful for the the teacher to see how their classroom teacher has taught the subject.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How do you learn best?
What area of the subject do you find most challenging?
What are your goals?
