About Shyla
I like to personalize my interactions with each student, get to really know them and their learning style. This helps maximize their learning time and begin to enjoy the work that can become frusturating when they don't understand.
I love working with children and youth for as long as I can remember. I had volunteered at a youth center for many years and then eventually was able to move to a teacher assisstant position for a first grade class aswell as worked in their afterschool program called "Homework Club". Iv'e never enjoyed something more. Being able to help students acheive their goals and succeed in schooling makes me happy and I'm hoping to continue helping students with their school needs here!
