About Mariana
Hi there! My name is Mariana. I have been tutoring various levels of Spanish for a number of years now and really enjoy it. I love helping people reach their goals and exposing them to my language and culture. I'm a native Spanish speaker and also studied Spanish literature at an Ivy League institution. I've tutored students in all levels. Message me, I'd love to help you out!
As a native speaker, I was always asked to help students who were struggling in my classes. After being awarded A's, I was selected as a tutor for the Dean of the College at Brown.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from Brown University. At Brown, I tutored professionally through the Dean of the College to help students struggling with their coursework. Since graduating, I have done freelance work tutoring students in Spanish. In total, this is about 5-6 years of experience.

I have an initial session where we discuss the student and parent's goals (if applicable). I do a quick benchmark assessment to determine what level the student is at. Based on goals and level, we work together to create a schedule that is realistic to determine how often to meet in order to reach the stated goals.
