About Luke

Luke teaches Spanish in Los Angeles.

About the lesson

Assess their level of langauge learning or begin at the level they feel most comfortable with. Assess the materials they wish to use if they don't wish to use the textbooks and materials I already have available. I am trained in immersive language teaching techniques and therefore begin the lessons by only speaking in French or Spanish and at a level the student will understand (even with no prior lessons).

I have taken French classes with Luke at University of Washington during my freshman year. I had no experience in learning French in high school, so I was a beginner. Luke has offered tremendous support in a sequence of French classes. Luke is always well prepared for classes. More importantly, he is willing to go through French grammar and homework patiently with us students after class, and his instruction is always very clear and easy to understand. Taking French classes with Luke has definitely prepared me for taking advanced level classes.
