About Paola
I provide friendly, thorough and challenging tutoring services. I strive to ensure understanding and learning, not just memorization. I have provided tutoring and homework help since 2010, when I co-founded and ran my high school's literacy lab. Since then, I have provided one-on-one in-home tutoring sessions and have worked at my alma mater's Foreign Language Resource Center where I provided one-on-one and group tutoring sessions.
My favorite part of this kind of work is witnessing and enabling the student's "light bulb" moment. That moment of understanding means we have made progress, and that's always a good thing.
While in school, I often found myself heping my peers and once I was given the opportunity to do this work more formally in high school, I was excited to take on the challenge. It has always paid off as we reach those moments.
