Hola.

Soy Carlos Melo, filósofo de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, nací en esa bella tierra. He trabajado con las palabras desde hace más de 10 años, mis labores fueron de promotor de lectura en espacios no convencionales -en diferentes lugares del territorio nacional- y como artista formador en creación literaria dando talleres de escritura creativa a los niños y los jóvenes de las escuelas públicas de la ciudad de Bogotá.

Mi propósito es continuar con estudios de maestría en escrituras creativas para dedicarme profesionalmente al oficio de la escritura, el enfoque estaría en la creación de crónicas literarias. Tomé un taller de corrección de estilo y realicé un diplomado sobre Cómo escribir en lenguaje claro.

Me han publicado tres escritos: un cuento para niños en una antología y dos artículos, uno hace parte de un número en una revista universitaria y el otro se encuentra en una selección de escritos reflexionando sobre la pandemia.

Mi lengua materna es el español y estoy dispuesto a buscar la mejor manera de compartir lo que sé con quien lo necesite y poder colaborar con su aprendizaje.

Hello. I am Carlos Melo, a philosopher from the National University of Colombia, I was born in that beautiful land. I have worked with words for more than 10 years, my work was as a promoter of reading in unconventional spaces -in different parts of the national territory- and as a training artist in literary creation giving creative writing workshops to children and young people from public schools in the city of Bogotá. My purpose is to continue with master's studies in creative writing to dedicate myself professionally to the profession of writing, the focus would be on the creation of literary chronicles. I took a proofreading workshop and did a diploma on How to write in plain language. They have published three writings: a children's story in an anthology and two articles, one is part of an issue in a university magazine and the other is in a selection of writings reflecting on the pandemic. My mother tongue is Spanish and I am willing to find the best way to share what I know with whoever needs it and to be able to collaborate with their learning.

El trabajo de enseñanza se dio desde el compartir el gusto por leer, por la música y las lecturas realizadas a quienes se acercaban a las bibliotecas en espacios no convencionales en Bogotá. Luego, me llamaban para contar mi experiencias y compartir lo aprendido con maestros(as) y después estando en el aula de clases.

The teaching work was given from the sharing of the taste for reading, for the music and the readings made to those who came to the libraries in unconventional spaces in Bogotá. Then, they called me to tell about my experiences and share what they learned with teachers and then being in the classroom.

El trabajo se realiza indagando la necesidad del estudiante y sus gustos, de este modo el desarrollo de las actividades serán planificadas que se pueda lograr un adecuado y agradable aprendizaje.

He trabajado dando clases a niños, jóvenes y adultos y he brindado talleres a docentes. El aprendizaje es algo innato y relacionado con la curiosidad, todos podemos aprender, por eso el interés del estudiante es fundamental.

I have worked teaching children, youth and adults and I have given workshops to teachers. Learning is something innate and related to curiosity, we can all learn, that is why the interest of the student is fundamental.

Que tenga muy claro el objetivo que busca conseguir cuando se decide a tomar las clases y que esté abierto a la exploración. En mi caso particular como tutor que esté dispuesto al diálogo y a descubrir nuevas culturas.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Lo que me parece bastante pertinente es que traten de indentificar cuál es la manera en que mejor se da el aprendizaje para ellos: escribiendo, leyendo, oyendo, con elementos multimedia, etc. Que piensen también en la aplicación que le darán a lo aprendido, que se pregunten cómo lo pondrán en práctica, si creen que les servirá, para que les servirá y cómo pueden replicar lo aprendido.

What seems quite pertinent to me is that they try to identify the way in which learning is best given for them: writing, reading, listening, with multimedia elements, etc. That they also think about the application that they will give to what they have learned, that they ask themselves how they will put it into practice, if they think it will serve them, what it will serve them for and how they can replicate what they have learned.
