About Kira
I am passionate about teaching and helping students gain a solid understanding of the basics. Without this foundation, students will inevitably struggle as the content gets harder at each advancing grade level. Classrooms are becoming continually more over-crowded, resulting in students falling through the cracks without individual instruction. I will work to bridge the gap to move students from failing to prevailing.
I graduated with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education in 2016 from Tennessee Wesleyan University and worked as a certified teacher for 2 years. I have experience working with students in grades K-5.
I have a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and have 2 years of experience as a certified teacher.

I want to get to know my students’ interests and abilities. Catering content to students’ interests is a great way to engage them in the learning process. An initial inventory will be given to address students’ strengths and weaknesses in the content area during the first session. During subsequent sessions, instruction will focus on the areas students need to show improvement with a post-assessment given at the last session to determine mastery of the content.
I have experience working with students at the elementary level in K-5 and adult students in college prep classes for writing and math.

Details
Tutoring sessions are one hour at $18 per hour. A minimum of 3 sessions is recommended for a complete cycle that includes the initial evaluation, instruction, and post-assessment. Payment is due at the beginning of each session.
Sessions are available during the following time slots:
Mondays - Thursdays: 3:00 - 4:00 pm, 4:15 - 5:15 pm, and 5:30 - 6:30 pm
*Scheduling is on a first-come, first- serve basis.
