About Layne

My name is Layne and I am passionate about all things writing, editing, grammar, and the Russian language.

I received my Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University, where I concentrated on Russian and post-Soviet geopolitical studies. I also intensively studied mass media, international politics, and literature.

I have also recieved a MA in Political Analysis in Russia and Eastern Europe from the University College London. My dissertation centered around the dynamics of Russian state rhetoric and mass media, analyzing the extent to which both mirrored the other throughout the Syrian Civil War.

Now, I am studying for another MA at Georgetown University, where I am specializing in international security, Russian deceptive warfare, and intelligence analysis.

I adore the process of helping students reach their full potential. Writing is a powerful means of expression and is a necessary component of both academic and professional success.

The Russian language is unique in its grammar, history, and spirit. I would be ecstatic to share the experience with students who are curious about a country vital to American foreign policy.

The best part of tutoring? Witnessing the immense progress students make in such a small amount of time. With the right skills, students can drastically improve the impact of their words.
