About Katherine

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kenyon College and a Master's degree in Psychology from UC Davis. I have also taken extensive literature and writing classes at the high school and college level. In addition to being a mentor and advisor for students studying psychology and improving their writing skills, I was also a Teaching Assistant at UC Davis for 2.5 years. See my LinkedIn account here: (concealed information)

As a student of psychology, I've learned a great deal about learning strategies and how best to communicate complex information to others. Figuring out how to communicate information to a student in a way that they understand is a challenge that I greatly enjoy.

Many of my family members have been teachers, and I often was asked to help my three younger siblings with their homework when I was growing up. I synthesize and communicate complicated information very well and am very empathetic; two qualities that make me an excellent teacher, mentor, and tutor.

B.A. with Highest Honors in Psychology, Kenyon College, cum laude

M.A. in Psychology, UC Davis (3.91)
