About Kelsey
I completed my Bachelors Degree in Child Development & Education at Washington & Jefferson College in 2014. I then graduated from Chestnut Hill College in 2017 with my Masters in Education. I have my certification in Elementary Education (grades k-4). I will be completing my 3rd year of teaching first grade at a school in Northeast Philadelphia.
I have had a passion for helping and teaching children since I began babysitting over 14 years ago. I love watching the progress, growth, and challenges students can over come. When a student is having a difficult time understanding new concepts, I like to create engaging games and activities that makes the learning process more fun!
I am a certified with my degree in Masters of Eduation focusing on Elementary Education (Grades K-4).

The first meeting I like to do a general assessment, just to see their reading, writing, or math level. Then from there, I can gather the materials I need to help focus on the key skills needed to grow.
I am lucky enough to have had several internships in addition to my current role as a first grade teacher at a public school in Northeast Philadelphia. I have the pleasure of working with all students of different levels of learning and home and cultural backgrounds.

I do the first session free, to see if I am the right fit for you as a parent and for teaching your child! From there I typically charge about $35 per 1 hour session. This also takes into account gathering the correct materials and travel milage.
