About Adrienne

I have been writing for 43 of my nearly 51 years, though only recently began to pursue creative writing as a profession.

I have published three collections of poetry, sold freelance ideas to Hallmark, have written poetry, greetings, copy & obits for profit both privately and professionally.

I am currently progressively working on 23 manuscripts - fiction, nonfiction, multicultural romance, urban fiction, children's books and mystery. I anticipate publishing at least 2 new works in 2019, but aiming for three!

I received TESOL certification in Toronto 2006 from Canadian Institute of English. With this, I was able to successfully teach private & public elementary school students in Italy for nearly three years, as well as English workshops, adult business education and be requested on several occasions for voice over work.

I aided an Italian air traffic controller in successfully passing exams to advance in his career along with helping a student at university complete entrance exams. All of my English students increased in conversation, grammar, understanding and usage of English and I had zero complaints and many repeat requests in each tutoring / teaching assignment.

I feel poetry and creative writing are wonderful assets as personal, emotional outlets; and English is a universal language that people earthwide aspire to learn.

I like to make learning fun, engaging and exciting, taking the fear out of making mistakes but continuing to advance in knowledge and usage without anxiety. We start off with simple conversation, questions to gauge what the student knows or ascertain where they have trouble and focus future lessons on finding fun ways to work on those hard spots until speaking becomes more natural or easier.

Looking forward to connecting with learners everywhere. We must never stop learning. We must never stop trying.

I love developing ideas in poetic verse and seeing them impact the listeners. Writing is such a great tool for release of emotion. It can positively affect a person's mental outlook.

Actually, I began teaching life improvement classes and bible education in 1990 and have continued in weekly lessons until now. My motto is 'As I learn, I teach' so that I never can graduate in a life-long learning process and I never run out of new things to discovery and share.

Fourth and fifth graders to septuagenarians. All have been persons that speak or are learning English as a second language.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Be open to learning new ideas or in a different way. Don't think that you are unteachable. Besides being teachable, you undoubtedly have something worthy of sharing with others. So through your progress and self-expression, you will have lessons to teach me as well. No one has seen the world through your eyes except you. What wonderful opportunities you have to share your perspective!
