About Rick
As photographers, we all have experiences and passions and each of us has something to learn and to teach. I come from a background of a BPA in Illustration Photography, an illustrious career in award-winning commercial photography and experience as President of an ASMP chapter offering technical and artistic direction to fellow photographers. I find that as we develop a vision - an idea of the possibilities - that one can achieve that end result given the knowledge. This is where I offer my experience and knowledge and spark it with fun and adventure.
I am on the Big Usland of Hawaii currently, after working throughout the Weatetn US from my base in Arizona for 20 years. Here on the Big Island are vast and diverse landscapes and subjects - from tropical rainforests, perfect beaches, volcanic regions, quaint country towns and a range of ethnic peoples, colorful cultural events and diversity.

I first began teaching friends and associates and then stepped into further teaching through the ASMP programs.
* BPA degree in Illustration Photography from Brooks Institute of Photography
* Numerous seminars on creative style and technical workflows.
* Experience as President of the Southern Arizona chapter of the ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) conducting seminars on technical and styling topics.

Typically we begin with an email exchange and/or a phone conversation and determine a student’s level of knowledge and specific interests. Depending on whether it is a one-on-one or a group, we set an iteniery and a plan for a combination of lessons, shooting sessions and final photo editing.
students have typically been moderately experienced photographers pursuing the skills to refine technique and technical abilities.

One-on-One fee:
$1,000 one day to $2,600 three day sessions
Groups of three to six fee:
$500 one day to $1,200 for three day sessions
