About Kristianne

I have loved photography since I started making images over 28 years ago. Even after all the years I've been a photographer I have continued to find a new way to be creative and express my voice.

I enjoy bringing my passion for photography to people who are just learning. I have taught all skill levels of photography but my favorite is teaching to those who are beginning learners and those who are very advanced but want a fresh perspective.

I started teaching right out of college as a graduate going back and guest teaching for university courses. Then I was hired as a professor at CSUF.

I graduated BFA in fine art photography from CSULB. I have been working in the photographic industry for 28 years. I taught photography in the Communication Depuat CSUF for five years. I continue to take workshops and seminars to advance my knowledge and keep it up to current technology.

About the lesson

I begin by asking basic technical and creative questions to understand my student's ability and knowledge. Then I ask them what they want to experience as a photographer. I will create a custom curriculum that matches needs and expectations.

I have worked with children, basic photography students learning photography as a non-major in the radio/tv/film and marketing majors. I have taught skilled, professionals looking for specific skills.

I recently was hired to be director of still photography for Emerald Coast tourism in Florida. I specialize in photographing people in the ocean and they hired me for a month long project photographing kids playing in the ocean.
