About Flossie

I am passionate about photography! I have a Bachelors in Fine Art specializing in photography from UNT Denton, with a love of photography starting back in my high school dark room with my grandfather's film single lens reflex camera. Trained in Photoshop and currently learning new editing software along with new techniques to keep up with my client's needs. I am experienced in a wide variety of genres of photography and personally focus on portraits. My website to see my portfolio of personal and professional work: (concealed information)

A friend was interested in photography and changing careers. I began to give her tips and she was hungry for more information so I started teaching her everything I knew about photography.

I have a BFA in photography and have been apart of the industry for 20 years. I’ve owned my business since 2012 and mentored for many years.

About the lesson

I prefer to meet with a new student at a local park or coffee shop to discuss goals, get to know each other more and talk about strategy.

I have taught students as young as 11 years old, and ages up to the empty nest years. Students with interest in a new hobby or ones looking to build a business.

Students should hire based on the style and goals they would like to achieve. We mimic our mentors, so if you know your niche, then hire an instructor who will lead the way. If you don’t know, then go for someone you admire their work and think you may enjoy their company.

Recently, I added a model to the lesson plan and we all had a blast working together. It brought new energy for me and the student while learning the art of working with a model.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What style of photography? What is the end goal of knowing how to take better photographs?
