Louis Brems was my internship supervisor from January-May 2019, during my senior year while he was head photographer at The Citadel. I came with very little understanding about the ins and outs of photography, but through his direct guidance, I finished my internship with a much better understanding of the ISO/Aperture/Shutter Speed balance, when to use flash, metering lights for portraits, framing a shot, leading lines, and so much more. I also gained a better understanding of editing photography as well. He is a very hands on instructor, not afraid to give constructed criticism, but also very quick to praise a job well done. The information I gained under his mentorship gave me the start I needed, and I've been able to use the portfolio he helped me develop to begin gaining clients for my own small business.
