About Jonathan
With over 30 years of hands-on photography experience, I can show you how to use your camera or any other camera (provided a manual is available) for that matter. And, while honing my crafts, I have gained many years of experience with Photoshop and I gladly teach it all. I make custom lesson plans for each student, providing a more structured learning environment. For now, all lessons are done virtually over video chat.
I'm a natural teacher. I fell into it like water.
My BA in Graphic Design provides a solid structure for my photography work. I have also spent many years working in technical fields which has more than helped inform my photo work - patience and perseverance. Finally, having spent many years learning, exploring, researching, and practicing my own photo work have led to my lessons and education which I continue regularly.

Assess current ability and compare with what the student intends to learn. Develop a usable curriculum to bring the student from point A to B, learning key concepts and techniques along the way. From there, we fine-tune lessons so the student can grasp what is necessary in their terms and move forward, confident they have learned what they need to move forward. This works for new and experienced photographers.
