About Scott

After 30 years in photography I focused on iPhone photography and never looked back. The best camera is the one you have with you. My DSLR is used much less often. Let me teach you how to use your iPhone to create stunning, beautiful images and how to quickly and easily retouch them using the free Snapseed App. 99% of my photos are processed through Snapseed before being posted or shared. See some of my fun and personal work on my Instagram account (concealed information) With a few lessons you too can create fantastic iPhone images!

Pictures are worth 1,000 words. Fantastic pictures even more. I love to take pictures and I love to optimize them to my own personal style before they are shared. And I love to teach others to do the same.

Teaching my children how to use their cell phone cameras to take pictures of their children (my grandchildren) and how to improve their skills.

30 plus years as a serious advanced amatuer photographer including weddings, portraits, family portraits and freelance work. 5 plus years focusing on iPhone photography including a dedicated YouTube channel of Snapseed App tutorials (free app used to enhance and retouch photos).

About the lesson

Meet and assess student's experience and objectives (every student is at a different level and wants to learn different things). Agree on a plan based on student's objectives. Lessons involve teaching 3-5+ concepts of interest to student and student then fulfilling hands-on assignments to practice what was learned. Feedback is provided both online or in subsequent lessons as needed. Flexibility and custom lesson plans are the model. May involve one lesson or multiple lessons until student objectives are met. Can be taught using student's phone (or, even better, using student's phone and a TV connected via HDMI cord so phone screen is on the "big screen").

All kinds from pre-teen children to senior citizens who want to learn more about the capabilities of their iPhone cameras, want to improve their picture taking skills, and want to know how to enhance their photos after they are captured.

Find one that works well with your personality, has experience and knows the subject matter. The real learning will come as you put into practice the lessons taught--yep, through your homework....

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What do you want to learn? Do you want to learn more about the capabilities of your iPhone camera (secrets many people don't know that will improve your pictures)? Do you want to learn about the basics of photography (lighting, composition, creativity, etc.)? Do you want to learn about post-processing (retouching photos after they are taken)? Is there a specific kind of photograhpy you are interested in (children, nature, people, candids, creative, abstract, etc.)?
