About Ken

I am excited about sharing my knowledge and experience with others, regardless of their level. I find we all have something to learn from each other. I am available anytime for quick questions outside of our meetings at no additional cost.

I love teaching others and sharing my passion for photography. The thrill my students get when they see how their photography improves motivates me. Believe me, my first photos sucked and I have learned many things through the years as I continue to strive to improve.

I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge and helping others learn. Once I felt I had reached a level with my skills and knowledge that I could offer classes, I just went for it.

I have attended many classes and online seminars to help improve my understanding of fundamentals and posing. Most of my training has been on-the-job, as I take a lot of pictures, experiment, and critique my work to see what was successful and what was not. I use other photographers as mentors to help me improve my skills.

About the lesson

I find out where the student is with regards to their comfort level with their skills and equipment. Then, I find out what fundamentals they understand and work to help them improve those. I help them lay out a plan to get to where they want to be and help guide them through.

I am new at working with beginning photographers, but have help other photographers during classes and group shoots.

Generally, I charge $20/hr with a 1 hour minimum. However, blocks of time may be negotiated.
