About Lea

Working one on one or with small groups allows me to focus on your individual needs. We address health issues, emotional blocks and fine tune your asanas to gain the maximum benefits. Building relationships is important in this process and making sure you feel safe. There is a beautiful give and take that happens. An opportunity to gain instant feedback and understanding.

I have practiced yoga on and off since college. About 10 years ago I came back to the practice more regularly. It was the healing and peace I began to feel that inspired me to take teacher training. I have a masters degree in education so falling into teaching was not a big surprise to me. I love to learn and to share.

I am working on my 500 your certification. Right now I am at 300 and hope to be completed by 2020. My training has been with Trace Bonner at Holy Cow Yoga Center in West Ashley. Baths yoga being the primary yoga style.

About the lesson

We talk about your goals for your personal practice. Then we look at injuries or other things that we need to consider as we make a personal plan. From there we begin a dialogue and build a relationship so that you feel comfortable and you are also learning not only proper action and alignment for the body but breathwork and some yoga principles as well.

I have worked with younger, athletic people looking for flexibility to add to their exercise routines. I have worked with older people and seniors too. It is wonderful to meet people right where they are Everyone can do yoga. Some clients only work on pranayama or breathing or meditation.

Hire someone you feel safe and comfortable with. Ask questions.
