About Jacob

Jacob Getz began photography as a 12 year-old child fascinated with light and form. As a pre-med at the University of Florida, he studied with the world-renowned fine art photographer Jerry Ulseman and began to fuse the technical with the visual. Jacob graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and a minor in Photography. After moving to New York, he worked with renowned photographers including Francesco Scavullo, Hashi, Rebecca Blake, and Barbara Bordnick and honed his personal vision. Jacob's high energy and innovative creative approach has impressed many of the art directors with whom he's worked.

Jacob has garnered international recognition for the quality of his work, the precision lighting, and his professionalism. He has won many international awards for his photography and has shown in the Kodak House, NY Galleries, and other creative venues. Jacob's visual force, both in commercial and fine art, exhibits passion, visual acuity, and technical acumen, which are reflected in the arena of still life, fashion, and beauty.

With the onset of the powerful digital tools and an equipped commercial photographic studio, Jacob began using this new medium to continue to produce high quality imagery for his clients. He has taken his traditional photographic background and merged it with today's technology. He is adept at developing complex concepts that require him to integrate specialist photography with advanced techniques. These include, digital photography, 3-D photo illustration, retouching, pre-press, fine art iris printing, and traditional photography.

Jacob also is the founder of Getz Media a full service creative think tank that provides a 360 degree approach to coporate branding and advertising. This is accomplished by shooting a concept in both video and stills by Jacob Getz himself who developed a work flow that can do this on one day svaing clients money while keeping a thread from the video and stills so there is a cohesion between the 2 mediums.

Been in buisness as a proffessional photographer for over 30 years. Assisted with some of the top photographers in the world in a variety of disciplines.
