About Dave
I provide a unique and highly developed form of combat and life enhancement instruction.
Teaching and practicing the martial arts enhances the mental, physical and spiritual nature of one’s existence. And by absorbing what is useful, discarding what is useless and adding what is specifically your own, your creativity and confident awareness will expand and deepen to a level that will bring joy to your heart and health to your body.
My instructor told me that the best way to learn, is to teach others what you know.
After about 25 years of on and off firearms training, that I added to my 35 years of empty hand and stick / knife training, I finally have my certification to officially teach firearms and certify people for their concealed handgun permits, at Great Guns Shooting Range.

I tailor the suit to fit the client. Meaning I take what they want to learn and add what I know they need to accomplish their goals to the program. And, then give them the information in the most clear and entertaining way possible, to enhance their overall learning experience. Progressing from basic to advanced material as quickly as the student can handle it.
Military, Law Enforcement, Special Forces, Doctors, Lawyers, Authors, Martial Arts Instructors, and many other interested parties from all walks of life.
Make sure they have confidence in talking the talk, but most of all, make sure they can walk the walk.
In other words, what we like to say in our business is that, “Feeling is Believing”!
So if you cross arms with them, and they give you a sense of wisdom, power and superior control, then they are probably worth a try.
I taught my first official basic pistol class!
Giving the client the knowledge to gain confidence with handgun skills and enabling him to go to his local sheriff and become a licensed concealed pistol carrier.
It has been a long time goal that I have finally accomplished!

Generally I charge $25 per hour. Maybe a little more for personal training or special circumstances, and less for instructing multiple people and low overhead costs.
