About Jessica
I believe in the importance of mental and personal health. I am currently a college student studying Mass Communications and Spanish, with the goal of continuing to learn a new language throughout life. I studied child growth and development for four years through a teaching program for the state of Maryland while in high school. This motivated me to continue to learn about how we as people continue to develop and stay in touch with not only how we carry ourselves in front of others, but also our emotions and how we view our abilities to control them.
I began tutoring math to students at Dwight. D Eisenhower Middle School my first year of high school.
I studied child growth and development at Laurel High School, and completed an internship working with students my senior year. During my first year of college at Goucher a College I completed the training to be a peer listener, learning how to be an active listener for those who want to vent without receiving advice.

I like to get to know who I’m working with. This includes the student being open to talking with me about their goals, their struggles, and anything they feel is important for me to know. Once we’ve established a comfortable environment, we can begin moving towards the results the student wished to see in themselves or their life.
I would advise many who are looking for someone to assist them with personal growth to ensure the person they work with is working for them. It’s about you and your development, so be sure that is never compromised.
