About Ryan

Hello, I am a 2nd year medical student and hoped to look back and help those who are going through the anatomy / biology prerequisite courses hoping to apply to medical school here in the US. I am a 11 year veteran as a Green Beret so if you are a Non-traditional student trust me I get it! In addition to coursework tutoring I can help with building you packet to stand out.

I started teaching as a Green Beret in the United States Army since 2010. Teaching is one of the key components of Army Special forces from math, leadership, military tactics and foreign languages. This leadership and teaching skill set has transferred over into college coursework aimed at medicine.

I currently am a 2nd year medical student at LECOM in Erie, Pennsylvania. I graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a bachelors degree in Human biology 2020, I earned a bachelors degree with honors from Norwich University in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis 2016.

About the lesson

Building rapport with the student to understand their needs as an individual is key. I have been a teacher around the world from Alabama, North Carolina, California, Kuwait, Iraq and South Korea.

I have trained/taught students from all financial brackets to include foreign students from 3rd world countries with whom we have had a language barrier.

It is key to find a tutor who is capable of helping you between sessions by aiding in improving learning techniques and not only reiterate the information from the book.
Give a man a fish feeds him once teach him how to fish and he shall never go hungry.

Completed first year medical school and now moving onto starting my 2nd year and compounding the information learned over the years.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Asking for the answer to a data driven question is a waste of time but asking HOW to find the answer will let the student become independent as a learner.

$30/ hour for high school biology courses.

$40/hour undergrad biology courses to include anatomy, immunology, human biology, biochemistry 100-300.

50$ / hour for helping to build a medical school packet, to include advise on degree paths, extracurricular activity priorities, letters of recommendation, and personal letter advice and review.
