About Nicholas

Odyssey Performance Training is here to provide the highest level of strength and conditioning and general health fitness exercise prescription. The mission of Odyssey Performance Training is to not only provide results, but to also educate clients and athletes in the field of health and fitness so that they can make healthy lifestyle choices on their own.

I have been a Human Performance Trainer for almost 10 years. For a little over 7 years I worked in a Physical Therapy Clinic where I collaborated with Physical Therapists and assisted with upper level exercise programming on a wide variety of upper and lower extremity injuries and surgeries. Because of that unique experience as a performance trainer, I acquired a niche in Injury Reduction Training that is extremely beneficial to all of my clients. 



I have been a Human Performance Trainer for almost 10 years. For a little over 7 years I worked in a Physical Therapy Clinic where I collaborated with Physical Therapists and assisted with upper level exercise programming on a wide variety of upper and lower extremity injuries and surgeries.

I have my Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Performance and Sport with an emphasis in Adult Fitness and Exercise Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver. 

I have my CFSC (Certified Functional Strength Coach) from Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning. 

I have my PN-1 (Precision Nutrition Level 1) certification from Precision Nutrition. 

I have my PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

First off, I sit down with the student and I want to know as much as they can tell me about their Goals, Injury History, and Training History. Then I perform a simple, but through foundational movement assessment, which from that I can make an efficient and customized training program for the student.  



Anything from a common ankle sprain, hamstring strain, and various types of common muscular strains to more invasive surgeries such as total joint replacements, ACL's, and rotator cuff tears to name a few. I have worked with adolescents as young as 9 to individuals in advanced age as old as 84. I have worked with many individuals with weight management programs. I have also worked with recreational, amateur, and professional athletes of all ages, abilities, and various types of sports. Last but not least, I have worked with individuals with neurological disorders such as Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, and Acute Transverse Myelitis. 



The simple advice I would give is to look at years of experience and the types of clientale that the Trainer has worked with. This won't tell you everything, however, this information can tell you a great deal about a Performance Trainer. 

Also, a lot of Performance Trainers give complimentary sessions at a discount or at not cost to the client. I personally would take advantage of this and get to know the Trainer personally and make sure that it's a good fit for you both. 



I worked with a client that has Parkinson's, and believe it or not with my exercise expertise and her consistency and hardwork she made a lot of progress in those several years her and I worked together. At one point, she went to her neurologists for an annual assessment and he was impressed at how high functioning she actually is.

The first session/initial evaluation is complimentary to the client. 

My pricing system only goes as high as 3 sessions per week. However, if you would like to do more than 3 sessions per week, you will get more of a discount per session.
