About Caroline
Hi, my name is Caroline! I just graduated from Duke University with a major in neuroscience and minors in chemistry and global health. I tutored elementary school math and English for four years and recently spent a few months tutoring adults for a high school equivalency exam. I took the MCAT last summer and received a 522 with perfect CARS and psych/soc sections and received a 1560 on the SAT. I also received a 5 on 14 AP exams including AP Biology. I was the president of Math Club at my high school and especially enjoy teaching elementary and middle school mathematics and algebra but am also excited to teach English and science and help with college applications.
I am eager to tutor people of all ages! I love working with children but also wholeheartedly believe it is never too late to learn! I care a lot about student growth, love creating personalized studying plans, and really emphasize active recall instead of memorization. Additionally, I foster an environment in which students are not afraid to ask me lots of questions, and I show them different ways to tackle the same problem to cater to a variety of learning styles.
I am also happy to provide a free 20 minute consultation upon request!
